Full Grain Leather | Fragrance Oil

This FO is famous in my fragrance oil fb group, and on the Porter website, and I definitely see why. I've been wanting to test this one for awhile. I've purchased leather FO's from 4 other suppliers and this one beats them all by MILES. It truly smells like a high quality leather. Most leather FO's have that chemical smell to make it resemble the crisp pungent smell of leather but it just puts me off and this one has none of that. It's just a genuine high quality leather smell. High strength but not overpowering, which is impressive. Excellent throw in my 7oz single wick 6006 wax. It filled up most of the living room and kitchen on its own without being off-putting or overpowering, again impressive. It's just strong in all the right ways and I'm super impressed with this one.

I like to play this game sometimes where I ask a friend to smell a fragrance OOB without telling them what it is...and ALL of the people I asked immediately said "whoa, it's leather!". Super accurate! I tested this fragrance in a 2 ounce tester for CP soap. As with all my soap making, I hand-stirred in the fragrance and woooo it accelerated pretty fast! Definitely one where you should wait until the very last minute to add into your soap batter. No ricing. After six weeks, scent retention was great and there was no discoloration.

I sell out of the candles I make using this fragrance at every event.

I have never been a huge fan of the leather smell but I wanted to make a candle for someone that is. I had some left over so I decided to go ahead and make one to keep. I burned it and thought, wow, I really like this! Then the next day I was like, wow, I really LOVE this! It is strong but not overpowering. It really just smells like you have fresh leather in the room, not like you have a candle burning. Very different and I can't stop thinking about it. Definitely going to add it to my line up this year!

This smells JUST like leather. I used it in cold process soap and it performed very well. I used darker brown micas as well as light bits of gold for my design. The scent retention is good. It’s not super strong, but you are left with the scent of leather on your hands. It smells like you’ve been rubbing your hands on a leather coat. This has been a hit with my male customers!
